Lindsey joined the First Alert weather team in 2013 after graduating from North Carolina State University with a B.S in Meteorology and minors in Environmental Science and Mathematics. Lindsey is a member of the American Meteorological Society and has been most recently awarded with the Society's prestigious Certified Broadcast Meteorologist (CBM) designation.
You can find Lindsey broadcasting the weather on WDBJ7 during the weekends on the morning and evening shows. She also reports live at local events during the week. She enjoys attending outreach programs and interacting with the viewers. Her favorite part of the job is sharing her passion about weather to young scientists!
Lindsey is from Naperville, Illinois, which is ultimately a sweet spot for all types of phenomena from severe weather to strong winter storms. Experiencing several extreme weather events made her more and more curious on the "hows" and "whys" of meteorology. She feels that the most important role as a meteorologist is to provide forecasts that effectively communicate weather for the safety and awareness of your hometown.
Lindsey was a member of the N.C. State Dance Team for 3 years. She loves being active, especially in the outdoors. You may find her running or biking around town! If you ever have any questions, feel free to contact her at firstname.lastname@example.org.
