Attempted robbery investigation in Roanoke
Roanoke, Va. -

And an attempted robbery has Roanoke Police looking for the suspects.

It happened in the 5400 block of Williamson Road just after 5:00 a.m.

Officers say a woman was inside Happy's Flea Market when two men approached her.

They took out a gun and demanded money.

They didn't get any and took off.

Police are looking for the two suspects, whose faces were partially covered.


Here's more information from Roanoke Police:

The Roanoke Police Department is investigating an attempted robbery from person that occurred on June 2, 2013.

Officers responded at 5:13 a.m. to the 5400 block of Williamson Road.

Upon arrival they located an adult female who stated that she was inside of Happy’s Flea Market when she was approached by two males.

One of the suspects brandished a firearm and demanded money.

The suspects did not obtain any money and fled.

No one was hurt and no arrests have been made.

The suspects are described a two black males.

The suspect who brandished the firearm is described as having a light complexion, being five feet 11 inches in height, and weighing 150 pounds.

He was described as wearing a black hooded sweatshirt and black pants.

The second suspect is described as being five feet nine inches in height and weighing 150 pounds.

He was wearing a gray hooded sweatshirt and black jeans.

Both suspects’ faces were partially covered.
