A 27-year-old Louisiana man arrested for his third DWI has a unique excuse when asked why he wasn't wearing his seat belt.

"My dog ate it," Zachary Ordoyne told deputies with the Lafourche Parish Sheriff's Office

Ordoyne was pulled over Tuesday night, according to Baton Rouge TV station WVLA.

"While speaking to Ordoyne, deputies detected a strong odor of an alcoholic beverage, and Ordoyne's speech was slurred," Deputy Brennan Matherne told the TV station. "He admitted to consuming alcoholic beverages and showed deputies a half-full bottle of an alcoholic beverage in his vehicle."

He had a blood-alcohol level of 0.104 percent, according to the sheriff's office.

Ordonyne now faces charges of DWI (third offense), possession of an alcoholic beverage in a motor vehicle and not wearing his seat belt.
