Natural Bridge could soon be sold to the highest bidder.
An auction date of November 14th has been set for the Rockbridge County landmark and tourist attraction once owned by Thomas Jefferson.
The property includes the 215-foot-high limestone arch that was carved naturally by the creek that runs under it, as well as Natural Bridge Caverns and a 150-room hotel.
There were no buyers in 2007, when the entire property was listed for 39 million dollars.
In June, the National Park Service agreed to study the possibility of turning the 1600 acre property into a national park.
