Danville police investigate bank crash

DANVILLE, Va. -

A North Carolina man faces possible reckless driving charges.

Officers investigated a reckless driving complaint involving an orange Hummer at McDonalds, 348 Old Riverside Drive around 2:39 a.m. Saturday morning.

The driver of the vehicle, 22 year old Kadeem Clark, 567 Culver Road Milton N.C., sped off on Old Riverside Drive onto Tower Drive.

The officer was unable to catch up to the vehicle but located the vehicle crashed into the front doors of the American National Bank building, 103 Tower Drive.

Kadeem Clark fled the scene but was apprehended in the Piedmont Mall parking lot, suffering injury to his face and head.

Clark, along with a passenger in the vehicle, were transported to the Danville Regional Medical for treatment of injuries as a result of the crash.

The bank building was extensively damaged.

Charges are pending.
