ALTAVISTA, Va. -

Federal agents are investigating a Campbell County man, who's suspected of selling counterfeit goods.

According to court documents obtained by WDBJ7, a special agent with the United States Department of Homeland Security has been investigating a home on Peerman School Road, near Altavista. Neighbors tell us the house was searched last week.

Investigators believe a man who lives there has been getting counterfeit products from China and Hong Kong. Those items include athletic jerseys, hats, jewelry, and bootleg DVD's. He's suspected of selling the merchandise on Craigslist.

Agents say they were able to buy items from the man in April. Since no charges have been filed, we are not reporting the man's name or the address where the search warrant was executed.
