The update's part of a $4 million dollar project

ROANOKE, Va. -

Change continues at the Roanoke Regional Airport.

Over the last several months, the airport has worked to update its look.

New flooring and paint have been added, while most of the gates have been renovated.

An airport spokesperson says the terminal is 25-years-old and needs to be freshened up.

"It's time to rehab the building, we want to make it better for passengers so we've widen doors, we've increased the size restroom, we've provided charging stations," explains spokeswoman Sherry Wallace.

This project cost about 4-million dollars.

It's expected to be complete by the end of the month.

The next phase of the renovation will update concessions.
