FRANKLIN CO., Va. -

A Franklin County man is accused of blackmailing a State Trooper.

The Franklin News-Post reported Monday that police arrested Courtney Hall back on May 29th.

Hall supposedly threatened Trooper JT Harris, a married man.

Police say Hall demanded thousands of dollars from Harris, or else he'd claim that the Trooper was having an affair with his girlfriend.

Harris wore a recording device when he went to deliver the money, and that's when police arrested Hall.

He could get up to ten years in prison if a court convicts him.
