DANVILLE, Va. -

Goodyear has until this weekend to negotiate contracts or its employees could strike.

A United Steelworkers representative tells us if a contract agreement is not reached by Saturday at midnight, a committee will decided if day-to-day operations can resume or if they strike.

An alert sent to union members says the company wants to double health care costs and increase co-pays for prescription drugs.

Contract negotiations are happening in Ohio and involve up to 8,000 workers.

The plant in Danville makes commercial and aviation tires.
