It's still prime time for leaf peeping in some areas

This crisp, cool weather lets us know fall is here.
But, if you need another reminder- all you have to do is look at the trees.
It is the beginning of November and vibrant colors are still popping.
On the Blue Ridge Parkway, you'll see trees in various stages of change.
Park rangers say this is later than normal.
"There are a lot of factors that figure in and elevation is one of them. When we get frosty weather, it seems like the leaves start to change a little bit. So, we've had some cool weather, but more than anything what we've seen this year is an extended season," explains Park Ranger Peter Givens.
Givens says depending where you are, will determine what you see, but higher elevations have probably passed their prime for leaf-peeping.
