A brave teen from our area is definitely making the holidays brighter for sick children in Ohio.
We introduced you to Savannah Day in September.
She lives in Troutville, but is in Cincinnati to have surgery on her brain tomorrow.
The 14-year-old knew she'd be spending the holidays in the hospital, and wanted to make the holiday special for other children.
She set a goal of collecting 500 toys to donate, but ended up getting almost 4,000!
Savannah helped give out every one of those toys Wednesday.
She says it's all about the spirit of the season.
"The reason why I wanted to do this was to start a chain reaction. So when the kids get out of the hospital, they'd do something nice for somebody else,” Savannah said.
The Cincinnati Children's Hospital say this is one of the biggest gift donations it's ever gotten.
