This is the 2nd year for Angels of Assisi's "Paws for a Cause"

Cloudy skies couldn't keep them away!

More than 125-motorcyclists and drivers came out for the 2nd annual "Paws for a Cause" event.

The event helps raise funds and food for Angels of Assisi in Roanoke.

The group rescues and takes in animals of all kinds.

It also provide low-cost vet services.

Angel leaders say they're touched that people took time out of their day to help these animals.

"I think it's just seeing the community support for the homeless animals we have here is very humbling. And, when these biker people and people from everywhere come out to support the animals, it means the world to us!," says Lisa O'Neill, director of Angels of Assisi.

The event started at Angels of Assisi on Campbell Avenue, took riders through the region and then ended at a local bar.

All the money raised from Sunday's event goes to the organization.
