49th annual show ends Sunday afternoon.

BATH CO., Va. -

An annual event is already looking to next year.

The 49th annual Bath County Art Show was bigger and better than ever.

Nearly 300 artists submitted more than 800 paintings, drawings and sculptures.

All the pieces were for sale.

And, visitors weren't the only ones going away happy, artists won more than  $9,000 in prizes.

One artist, Susan Trotter has been doing the show for 35-years and says it continues to grow.

"Its worked up to this level, when I first started there were just a few paints and they would put them in a little circle," says Trotter, "You'd walk in one end, through this little maze and out the other side and it was just small and now look."

The show is hosted by the Bath County Arts Association and raises money so children will be introduced and grow a love of the arts.

At the start of Sunday's show, the group had already raised more than 23-thousand dollars.
