A Texas man is sharing his love of painting in Roanoke, but there is more to his work than what meets the eye.
John Bramblitt is blind but still manages to produce magnificent pieces of art. Though Bramblitt lost his sight after a series of epileptic seizures, he gained a new ability that led him to the canvas.
"We're painting, we’re painting, and we’re learning to paint without using our eyesight. It’s just pure expression; pure art. We're painting using touch. The healing power of art can change live and make things better," said Bramblitt.
Some people at this afternoon's event wore blindfolds, symbolizing blindness and even painted.
