A Christiansburg woman got a surprise gift from her brother a year after he died.
Problem was, she needed that gift seven years ago.
Matilda Shumate mentioned to her brother in passing seven years ago that she needed a new keyboard.
He never told her he sent her one, but she finally got it last week!
She lives off a rural road in Christiansburg and says packages have gotten lost before, but the keyboard took six years and eight months before it got to her.
“It hurt because it was the last gift he ever gave anyone and I wasn't able to say thank you and I wasn't able to say how much I love him. We was always very close,” Matilda Shumate said.
Shumate has written a letter to the postal service asking what took so long.
