UPDATE: Pulaski stabbing suspect arrested

Dean Wall is accused of attacking Toby Ratcliffe in the woods following an argument last night. Police say it happened in a wooded area behind the Wendy's on East Main Street in Pulaski.


The stabbing suspect, Dean Wall, was taken into custody around 11:10 a.m. Friday, according to the Pulaski Police Department.

There is a manhunt going on right now for Dean Wall.

Police say he stabbed Toby Ratcliffe several times around 11:40 p.m. Thursday.

Ratcliffe was laying on a mattress at the time in the woods behind the Wendy's on East Main Street.

He was able to get up and chase his attacker for about 50 yards before collapsing.

Ratcliffe then called 911 from his cell phone before he passed out.

Police are searching for Wall right now in the woods where the stabbing happened.

They say he's dangerous, and he could still have knives on him. Investigators have obtained felony warrants for Wall for aggravated malicious wounding.

A helicopter flew Ratcliffe to Carilion Roanoke Memorial Hospital. He is in critical condition.
