A downtown hotspot in Lynchburg is making a comeback.
The White Hart Cafe is reopening soon with new owners. It closed in March, when the previous owner wasn't able to make enough money to cover expenses.
The restaurant and coffee shop was known for its unique atmosphere and locally grown food.
Abe Loper fell in love with the place when he first moved to Lynchburg. Now, he's one of the people bringing it back.
He's trying to raise money online for new furniture and kitchen equipment.
"We still want to be the community place for people of all sorts to come, have a great cup of coffee, a good meal, and great conversation," said Loper.
The new owners are hoping to have The White Hart back open by September 13, just in time for Lynchburg's "Get Downtown" street festival.
