They may be use to saying, "Stick 'em up!"
But, Saturday officers from the Virginia State Police and the City of Salem squared off to just "stick it."
It was for a "cover the cruiser" event at Chick-Fil A in Salem.
The state police and Salem police departments competed to see which team could get more tags on their cruisers.
People bought the tag for a dollar a piece and at the end of the day, the team with the most tags- won not only bragging rights, but a trophy.
The money goes to the Special Olympics.
"The goal is to support these young athletes, young and old actually, and help pay for their lodging and their transportation to the summer games in Richmond," explains Virginia State Police Sgt Bob Carpentieri.
This is the 8th year for the event.
