A plantation with centuries old foundations and a cemetery rediscovered last year is being replaced by a furniture factory.
Archaeologist gave the green light to Danville city council last night to build on the land.
The researchers told city leaders the old foundations are historic but aren't necessarily significant to the city's history.
They found graves of slaves and several building foundations dating back to the 1700's.
G-O-K furniture from China is planning to build on the land soon.
