Police officers and firefighters usually work together but on Saturday they'll compete against each other on the ice

The 11th annual Guns and Hoses hockey game returns to the Roanoke Civic Center on Saturday, January 18th at 6 p.m.

The game raises money for the Muscular Dystrophy Association (MDA). Last year, the game raised more than $28,000.

This year, you and the kids can compete to win several prizes. Games include "Learn and Play", Chuck-A-Puck, a dance off, and a shot on goal.  Prizes will be a Kindle Fire HD, up to $500, and a pair of tickets to see Darius Rucker at the Roanoke Civic Center in March.

No tickets are necessary just a general admission of $5 at the door.

Door open at 5 p.m.
