World-class performers and affordable tickets. That's a winning combination the Jefferson Center says it will offer in its 12th season.
Thursday, the center unveiled the lineup for four different concert series that start this fall.
The performers who will grace the stage of the Shaftman Performance Hall are a diverse group, including dobro master Jerry Douglass, The Spanish Harlem Orchestra and Jazz guitarist Pat Metheny.
Executive Director Cyrus Pace says the generosity of contributors has allowed the Jefferson Center to keep ticket prices affordable. In some cases an entire series is less expensive than an individual concert in another city.
"Pat Metheny in New York City would probably cost you $145 for one night, and not even in New York City, but any other small community in this country," Pace told us. "So we're lucky to have people and companies in this community that believe in this kind of music."
Jefferson Center members can buy season tickets starting Monday. Season ticket sales open to the public a week later on July 29th. And tickets to individual shows will go on sale on August 5th.
