Univeristy officials are talking with public leaders about possibly constructing a civic center there

The old Sears building at Lynchburg's River Ridge Mall won't be sitting empty.

Liberty University has renovated the space for offices.

You may remember Liberty bought the property from Sears last year.

The school is talking with public leaders about constructing a civic center on the site.  That plan is still being discussed.

In the meantime Liberty plans to house its online program in the building.

675 employees will move from campus to the mall over the next few weeks.
