The Food Zone Convenience Store on Rivermont Avenue was robbed at gunpoint Tuesday night.

LYNCHBURG, Va. -

An arrest has been made in the armed robbery of a convenience store in Lynchburg on Tuesday night.

20-year-old Jeremy Oquendo Wright was arrested Thursday in connection to an armed robbery Tuesday night at the Food Zone Convenience Store on Rivermont Drive.

Wright has been charged with armed robbery and use of a firearm in commission of a felony. He is being held without bond at the Blue Ridge Regional Jail.

A Lynchburg convenience store was robbed at gunpoint Tuesday night.

A man walked into the Food Zone Convenience Store on Rivermont Ave. around 7:30 p.m. Tuesday night and pointed a handgun at the store clerk, according to the Lynchburg Police Department.

The robber got away with an undisclosed amount of cash. The clerk was not hurt.
