RICHMOND, Va. (AP) -

Richmond authorities have identified the man whose body was recovered from a car that plunged into the James River in Richmond.

The Richmond Police Department identified the man on Thursday as 27-year-old Barry L. Scott.

Detectives do not suspect foul play.

Witnesses told police that the car was traveling at a high rate of speed when it ran off a dock near Rocketts Landing around 8:30 p.m. Tuesday.

Rescuers suspended a search Tuesday night because of poor visibility and found the car Wednesday.
