Martinsville High School will have a new assistant principal this coming school year

MARTINSVILLE, Va. -

Martinsville High School will have a new assistant principal this coming school year.

Renee Brown will take the place of former assistant principal Angie Weinerth who was promoted to principal July first.

Brown is a native of Martinsville and a graduate of MHS.

She holds degrees from Radford University and Winston-Salem State University.

Brown also has an Administration and Supervision endorsement from the University of Virginia.

In the 2009-2010 school year, she received the Technology Teacher Award from Southside Virginia Regional Technology Consortium.

Brown has 22 years of teaching experience with Martinsville City Schools.
