This morning the community left a big reminder for the school board.

PATRICK CO., Va. -

Some people in Patrick County already upset about teachers being reassigned are even more outraged after a comment the district superintendent made to WDBJ7's Justin Ward.

Tempers are even hotter after last night's school board meeting in Patrick County.

Friday morning the community left a big reminder for the school board.

Someone put this sign on route eight in Stuart.

It reads, "We are not junk. It's time for a change."

It's referencing what Patrick County Superintendent Roger Morris said off camera before the meeting.

He said, quote, "it's a bunch of small town junk."

After our story aired viewers confronted board members asking for an apology.

Teachers and parents voiced their complaints about ethics, posting minutes on the web, and reassigning teachers to different schools, among other issues according to people involved.

The board voted to keep its decision and not move teachers again.

Since this story aired I've got several emails and calls from you, all against the school board.

Here's what you're saying here on WDBJ7.com.

Clay Compton wrote, quote, "It's always been a small town but not this kind of ruckus."

While Janice Pendleton directed her comments toward the superintendent writing, Superintendent "Morris continues to embarrass this county... If Morris doesn't like small town junk why doesn't he leave?"
