Police looking for driver who left scene after crash in Bedford County

BEDFORD CO., Va. -

State police are looking for a driver that caused a crash and left the scene.

The accident put the other driver in the hospital.

Police say it happened on Route 460 near Nester Road around 11:30 a.m. Wednesday.

According to a news release, a pick up truck was driving east when a dark colored SUV hit it while changing lanes.

The truck lost control and overturned down an embankment.

Crews took Jack Johnson, Sr., 64, of Lynchburg to the hospital for treatment of injuries he sustained in the crash.

The dark colored SUV left the scene.

It may have damage to the driver-side area and mirror.
