Police seeking suspect in two Roanoke business robberies

Police say a suspect entered a business in the 1300 block of Patterson Avenue, pointed a gun at a clerk and took some money from the cash register.

ROANOKE, Va. -

Police are asking for the public's help with identifying a suspect in two recent business robberies in Roanoke.

The first robbery took place in the 1400 block of Patterson Avenue on October 10, at 9:44 p.m.

According to a news release, the suspect waved a gun at the clerk and took money from the cash register before running away.

The second robbery took place in the 1800 block of Memorial Avenue on October 15, at 1:42 a.m.

The suspect again waved a gun at the clerk and ran away after taking money from the cash register.

The suspect was wearing a hooded jacket, mask, blue jeans and black shoes during both robberies.
