Second anniversary of Louisa County, Virginia earthquake
It was two years ago today that our region, and much of the east coast felt the earth move.
That 5.8 magnitude earthquake was centered in Louisa County.
It cleared store shelves, cracked walls, and damaged roofs.
The earthquake damaged the Washington Monument so badly, it's still closed to visitors.
Virginia is taking part in a multi-state drill to make sure we're ready for the next earthquake.
The Great SouthEast ShakeOut is set for October 17th.
