Route 460 West is back open following a sinkhole that opened up in Giles County on Monday.
The Virginia Department of Transportation filled the sinkhole on Wednesday with 50 tons of stone and capped it with concrete.
The right shoulder will be reopened once the concrete has hardened.

One lane of Route 460 West is closed in Giles County because of a sinkhole.
The lane is closed about two-tenths of a mile west of Route 700 (Mountain Lake Road). The sinkhole is on the shoulder.
The lane closure is expected to be in place through Tuesday night because repair work is not expected to begin until Wednesday.
