FRANKLIN COUNTY, Va. -

The 25th Annual Smith Mountain Lake wine festival will be held September 28th and 29th, 2013.

This year 27 wineries will be participating as well as 85 food and craft vendors.

Whether you are a wine lover or just tempting your taste buds, Virginia wines offer flavors and styles to please every palette.

Winemakers will be on hand to answer wine-related questions and assist guests with their sampling.

Enjoy a favorite or try something new.

Sip a glass at the festival or take a bottle home.

Bring your lawn chair, relax and enjoy continuous live music!

Saturday crowds will enjoy the bands Polychrome and Dragonfly.

Sunday’s festivities will feature The Kings.

It's your chance to enjoy a "grape" day the Smith Mountain Lake way!

The Virginia Tourism Corporation will bring its oversized LOVE artwork to Smith Mountain Lake on September 23, 2013 as part of a state and local partnership to promote tourism.

The artwork, which is 16 feet long and more than six feet high, is part of the Virginia is for Lovers campaign and promotes the message that love is at the heart of every Virginia vacation.

Visitors can come see the LOVE on display at LakeWatch Plantation, Route 122, Moneta, VA through September 30.

Visitors are encouraged to take a family picture in front of the artwork and share it on Facebook at www.Facebook.com/VirginiaisforLovers or on Twitter, using the special hashtag #LOVEVA.
