10:30 p.m. Update:

WDBJ7 Engineers have our transmitter back up and running for good.

The problem had originated with a leak in a coolant tank.  After finding some issues when that tank was replaced, it's once again all systems go  for our on-air broadcasting.

We are sorry for any inconvenience this has caused.

The repairs did not seem to hold and we're back off the air.  Our engineers are still on the scene trying to fix the issue.

Sorry for the air broadcast interruption!

7:45 p.m. Update

Our transmitter is back on, but with reduced power.  Folks should be getting our signal very soon.

We apologize for any inconvenience this has caused!

7:20 p.m. Update:

WDBJ7's Engineers now have all the equipment needed to fix the transmitter.  Once everything's installed, they will check for leaks and get our signal back up and running.

Sorry for any inconvenience this may cause!

------------------------------------------

WDBJ7 is currently not broadcasting over the air because of the  failure of a coolant tank at our transmitter. A new coolant tank will be installed around 5:30 p.m. and we hope to restore the over-the-air signal by approximately 6:00 p.m.
