FRANKLIN CO.,Va. -

While some have taken their boats out of the water for the winter, others are setting sail. A Franklin County fisher guide says the fish are taking the bait.

Captain Wendell Dudley owns the Pullin’ Drag striper guide service. He's says winter season is a great time to fish and people are taking advantage. The fishing business tends to slow down during this time of year, but Dudley say business picks up on the weekend.

“For the fishermen, it's not as busy during the winter time as it is the summer. So it's kind of peaceful out here when you come out to striper fish,” said Dudley.

Dudley says he's the only captain to guarantee catching fish on his guide.
