At barely five feet three inches tall and 130 pounds - Fieldale Collinsville's Delvin Joyce earned player of the week honors on October 15th of 1993 for his work in an upset win against the Martinsville Bulldogs

Fieldale-Collinsville is no longer a high school in Henry County, but in 1993, the school produced the smallest Friday Football Extra Player of the Week in the 30 year history of the show.

At barely five feet three inches tall and 130 pounds - Fieldale Collinsville's Delvin Joyce earned player of the week honors on October 15th of 1993 for his work in an upset win against the Martinsville Bulldogs. Joyce had an interception and 9 tackles on defense. He also scored three touchdowns, averaged 31 yards kick return and caught 5 passes for 173 yards including this 81 yarder.  Joyce refused to let his lack of size hinder him in college. JMU took a chance on him, and when he graduated from the Dukes he finished with 1260 yards rushing and a school record 33 hundred and 90 return yards. By then he was all of 5 7" and 181 pounds. He went undrafted, but was signed as a free agent by the New York Giants where he served as a kick returner and backup tailback to Tiki Barber from 2002 to 2004.
