Tim Cromer's Blue Demons renewed pleasantries with Giles.

CHRISTIANSBURG, Va. -

One of the better games this week took place in Christiansburg where Tim Cromer's Blue Demons renewed pleasantries with Giles.

The Blue Demons took the field for the second half with a 10-7 lead.

Tyler Perdue went the single wing in gear with some nice footwork to get into the endzone on a 38 yard run to put the Spartans back on top 14 to 10.

In the fourth quarter Christiansburg was trying to make the most of a fumble recovery. Charlie Jackson went to the air and hit Drew Dunn who was able to break some tackles enroute to a first down.

That set up a Q-B sneak for Charlie Jackson who was able to sneak in for a Christiansburg lead. The extra point was good making it Christiansburg 17  - Giles 14.

The ensuing kickoff number Perdue was gonna find some daylight, and a lot of it.  He returned one from the shadow of his own goal line, using some fleet feet to give Giles the lead right back and it was 21-17 Spartans.

Brett Whitlow changed the scoreboard again for Coach Jeff Williams and company.  Christiansburg added a late tally but Giles won in the mild upset, 28 to 24 the final.
