Hidden Valley was still looking for that first win of the season, trying to find it tonight in Henry County at Ed Bassett Stadium against Jay Gilbert and the Bassett Bengals.
These Bassett fans cheering on the team like it's 1973. Tonight they celebrated their 40th class reunion by coming back to Ed Bassett Stadium.
Hidden Valley was out to spoil the festivities. Quarterback Jake Smiley hands off to Walker Brand who runs straight ahead for 55 yards. The Bengals finally caught up and dragged him down at the five yard line. That was a big hustle play by the defense because the Titans didn't score.
Later in the first quarter, the Bengals driving near midfield when Devontae Jordan throws it up for Trevon Simon but it's intercepted by Hidden Valley's Billy Howe. And Howe is taking it the other way. It's gonna go for a 75 yard interception return. Hidden Valley was on the board thanks to the pick 6.
It was that kind of night for the Bengals offense. Jordan gets snowed under by the Titans pass rush, going down on the sack.
Smiley then hooked up with Andrew Farmer standing in the endzone.
It was 20-0 at the half. Hidden Valley cracked the win column with the 34 to 13 win.
