Hidden Valley vs. Salem

SALEM, Va. -

In Salem the Hidden Valley Titans came a calling on the Spartans this week. Scott Weaver's team took a huge step towards the postseason last Friday with a win over Pulaski but the Titans had never beaten Salem.

Leading 21-7 just before the half, Tyler Gladden was in for an injured Austin Coulling. He hit Isaiah Parker for 32 yards up the right sideline for a Spartans first down.

Three plays later, Chandler Hunt sprinted around the left side on a 6 yard score.  It was 28-7 Salem at the half.

On the first play after the break, Coleman Fox raced 49 yards deep into Titans territory near the 20.  Salem settled for a field goal and a 31-7 cushion.

Hidden Valley got something cooking with Mason Dermott who took it around the right side 28 yards to the Salem 36 to move the sticks.

Two plays later, Walker Brand started right but then cuts it all the way across the field and dove for the pylon.  The 27 yard TD made it 31 to 14 late in the third.

But Salem holds on for the 31 to 14 win.
