Hokies seek victorious send-off on Senior Day

BLACKSBURG, Va. -

Logan Thomas knows his last game at Lane Stadium will be emotional.

He also knows that when the Hokies (7-3, 4-2 Atlantic Coast Conference) play Maryland on Saturday, anything short of a victory will likely keep Virginia Tech from achieving its goals.

The Hokies are tied in the loss column with Duke and Miami in the ACC's Coastal Division, and if they win out against the Terrapins and Virginia, a loss by the Blue Devils would send Virginia Tech to the ACC title game against No. 2 Florida State.

The Terrapins (5-4, 1-4) have hit tough times since winning their first four games.

The Hokies are coming off their most impressive performance of the season, and Maryland expects to see those Hokies when they take the field Saturday
