NASCAR star Jimmie Johnson and wife Chandra have a new baby daughter.
Chandra Johnson gave birth at 2:02 a.m. Friday at a Charlotte, N.C., hospital and the couple named their new arrival Lydia Norriss. She weighed 5 pounds, 10 ounces, was 19 inches long and joins big sister Genevieve Marie.
Mother and baby and are doing fine and are expected to remain in the hospital overnight, according to an email from Johnson's publicist, Kristine Curley.
Johnson will miss qualifying Friday at Richmond International Raceway. Regan Smith will serve as interim driver, with Johnson returning to drive the No. 48 Hendrick Motorsports Chevrolet in Saturday night's Sprint Cup Series event.
