Liberty University has a new head softball coach, and it's a pretty well known name in softball circles.
Olympic hero Dot Richardson will take over the Flames program.
Richardson is one of the most decorated softball players of all time. She helped lead the U.S. team to two Olympic gold medals, hitting the game winning homerun in the 1996 gold medal game in Atlanta.
Prior to that, she was a three time all American at UCLA.
Richardson becomes the program's second head coach at the Division I level since the program was reinstated in 1994.
