The Patrick Henry Patriots were in bounce back mode Friday night in Dublin, hoping to make short work of Pulaski County following last week's tough setback in Salem.
The Cougars jumped out to a 14-0 lead at the half.
But the Patriots went to work. Anthony Merritt picked up the first down on a 4th down conversion, putting PH in business at the 7-yard line.
Trevor Mike took over from there as he got PH on the board with the short scoring run. And we've got a ballgame.
Patrick Henry got the ball back, and on 4th-and-1 at the 45 yard line, Merritt found Cortez Ogden who picked up big yardage and is finally dragged down on the 21 yard line.
A couple of plays later from the one yard line, Merritt again for PH tied the game with the QB sneak. It's 14-apiece midway through the fourth.
Alan Fiddler's team called on Mike again with 3-and-a-half minutes left. He found a hole and scooted 53 yards to the endzone. That was the difference. Patrick Henry scored 21 unanswered points to beat Pulaski 21 to 14.
