The Wahoos are coming off a 49-point loss to Oregon.

CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. -

All the preseason talk for UVA centered on the Cavs first two games against BYU and second-ranked Oregon.

The Cavaliers got through those two with a split.

“You talk about the first two games out of the way,” said Head Coach Mike London. “We’ll give our opponent this week the attention they deserve, but at the same time, we’re going into a stretch of playing here that everyone else we played will have been in a Bowl game last year.”

This week UVA will host VMI. The Keydets are the third-most common opponent in UVa program history. Only North Carolina and Virginia tech have battled UVa on more occasions than VMI. The ‘Hoos have a 56-23-3 record against VMI all-time.

Kickoff is set for 3:30 Saturday at Scott Stadium.
