RICHMOND, Va. (AP) -- -

VCU will play four Atlantic Coast Conference schools in its non-conference schedule this season.

Coach Shaka Smart's Rams will play at Virginia, at the Richmond Coliseum against Virginia Tech, in Brooklyn against Boston College and against Florida State in the Puerto Rico Tip-Off in San Juan. They beat the Seminoles during their run to the Final Four in 2011.

The tournament in Puerto Rico also features power conference teams Michigan, Georgetown and Kansas State.

The Rams return six regulars and Smart says his team is "extremely excited" about the challenges ahead.

The game with Virginia is the start of a home-and-home series that will bring the Cavaliers to the Seigel Center next season.

Former Colonial Athletic Association rival Old Dominion will visit the Seigel Center on Dec. 8.
